

Group Building
WHAT IS IT?
Group Building allows Camp Directors to separate their campers in specific groups for check-in, attendance, messaging, activity assignments and many other organizational purposes.
I WOULD LIKE TO...
BASIC GROUP BUILDING

1. To start assigning campers to groups select the Camp Program in your program navigation drop-down

2. Click the Campers and Groups tile

3. Select the camp from the drop-down menu

4. Click the Create New Group in this Activity Block button

5. Name your group and define the age range

6. Click the Add Group button

7. To assign campers to your group, select the check box next to their name
​
8. Select the Group in the drop down
​
9. Click the Assign Camper to Group button

10. To assign a counselor to your group, click the Add Counselor button

11. Select a Current Counselor from your list of approved counselors or add a new counselor by clicking the Add New Counselor button

12. Click the Add Counselor button

ADVANCED GROUP BUILDING

1. Go to your Branch Association page
​
2. Click the navigation icon in the top-left corner

3. Click Day Camp Sets

4. Click the Define New Set button

5. To define your Day Camp Sets, choose a Set Name and select the First Program In Set from the drop-down
6. Select the check box next to the program(s) you want to associate to the set

7. Click the Submit button

8. Click the Work in Set button to start building your groups

9. Click View to expand your Group Sets Association

10. Select the groups to copy

11. Select the new program to copy the groups

12. Click the Copy Teams button
​
NOTE: Your groups will now be available for camper assignments in the programs that they were copied into

MANUALLY RECORD CAMPER ATTENDANCE

1. To manually record attendance for a camper, select the camp program in the drop-down

2. Click the Campers and Groups tile

3. Click the Record Camper Attendance tab

4. Select the Attendance Type from the drop-down
​
Note: Drop-off allows you to choose the guardian that dropped off the child
Check-in is a direct check-in without needing a guardian present
Check-out is a complete check-out of the program
​
5. Select the camper from the drop-down
​
6. Enter the Date of Action and Time of Action
​
7. Click the Add button to record the camper's attendance
