Offline Access

WHAT IS IT?

PLAYERSPACE’S Offline Access for InCare allows users to access limited functionality from their tablet when a Wi-Fi signal is weak or is not available.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Offline Mode is made available to InCare customers at the Association level. Once an InCare authorized user logs into the PLAYERSPACE app, a new tile for Offline Mode is shown. In order for the user to go into offline mode, they MUST be connected to a Wi-Fi signal.

 

Please Note: This functionality is only available for a tablet device. Due to storage requirements and data integrity, Offline Mode is not available for Apple iPhone or Android Phone devices. 

Offline Access

WHAT IS IT?

PLAYERSPACE’S Offline Access for InCare allows users to perform tasks from their tablet when a Wi-Fi signal is weak or not available.

WHAT FEATURES ARE AVAILABLE WHEN I AM IN OFFLINE MODE?
 

While in Offline Mode, you will have access to the following functionality:

 

  • The ability to check in and check out participants

  • Check in by QR code

  • View authorized pickups for each participant

  • View participant information including profile, contact info and emergency contacts

  • Record notes for each participant

  • Profile photos for participants and authorized pickups

  • Ability to sign out/into the PLAYERSPACE app by authorized users

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Please Note: This functionality is only available for a tablet device. Due to storage requirements and data security issues, Offline Mode is not available for Apple iPhone or Android Phone devices. 

When a user taps to access Offline Mode, a sync to the PLAYERSPACE database occurs. The sync takes less that one minute, but may vary depending on the size of your program. Once the sync is successful, the user will be alerted that they are in Offline Mode. The sync pulls the necessary data needed to perform the functions that are available when working in Offline Mode and encrypts the data locally on the tablet. 

 

The user can then check in/out, scan QR codes, view participant information including profile pictures and authorized pickups and record notes.

Once the user has access to a strong Wi-Fi signal, they have the ability to go back to Online Mode. To access simply tap the Online Mode tile within the application. When the user accesses Online Mode another sync to the PLAYERSPACE database occurs. The information contained on the device is then pushed to the PLAYERSPACE server. Once the sync is successful, the user will be alerted that they are in Online Mode. The user now has access to utilize all of the functionality in the InCare application.

IS MY DATA SECURE?

Yes! PLAYERSPACE utilizes secure 256-bit AES encryption of the local database files on your tablet. Additionally, once an Online Mode sync is successful, all of the locally stored data on your tablet is removed for an extra level of security.

WE USE MULTIPLE TABLETS AND USERS TO MANAGE OUR PROGRAMS. CAN WE USE OFFLINE ACCESS?

Yes! We have designed the Offline Access to account for multiple users/tablets logging in and out of the application when in Offline Mode as well as providing detailed activity by user and participant in the Check In / Check Out log (available in Manager Pro).
