Group Building

WHAT IS IT?

Group Building allows Camp Directors to separate their campers in specific groups for check-in, attendance, messaging, activity assignments and many other organizational purposes.

BASIC GROUP BUILDING

1. To start assigning campers to groups select the Camp Program in your program navigation dropdown

2. Click the Campers and Cabins tile

3. Click the Assign Campers to Group tile

4. Select the camp from the dropdown menu

4. Click the Create New Group in this Activity Block button

6. Name your group and define the age range

7. Click the Add Group button

8. To assign campers to your group, select the checkbox next to their name

9. Select the Group in the drop down

10. Click the Assign Camper to Group button

    Note: Cancelled campers will be dropped if:

  1. Groups are auto created 

  2. They are on a team in the division that they are cancelled in

  3. They are NOT on a team in a division that they are cancelled in BUT do not have any other active registrations.


Players left in option 3 that signed up for a different session within the same CAMPSPACE program will need to be placed in a new group.

11. To assign a counselor to your group, click the Add Counselor button

12. Select a Current Counselor from your list of approved counselors or add a new counselor by clicking the Add New Counselor button

13. Click the Add Counselor button

ADVANCED GROUP BUILDING

1. Go to your Branch Association page

2. Click the navigation icon in the top left corner

3. Click Day Camp Sets

4. To define your Day Camp Sets, name the set and select the First Program In Set from the dropdown. Then select the check box next to the program(s) you want to associate to the set.

5. Click the Submit button.

6. Click the Work in Set button to start building your groups

8. Select the groups to copy 

9. Select the new program to copy the groups

10. Click the Copy Teams button

    NOTE: Your groups will now be available for camper assignments in the groups that they were copied into
