Creating Shift Schedules

WHAT IS IT?

Creating a volunteer schedule enables you to assign and have volunteers sign up for shifts which will automatically record their hours after the event and allow them to see their schedule from the mobile app.

ADDING VENUES & LOCATIONS

1. Choose your Branch Association

2. Start creating your locations by clicking on the blue Manage Locations tile or clicking on Branch Management > Location Management

3. To add a new venue, click the Add Venue button

    NOTE:  Your venue should be your facility (Ex: Branch name)

4. To add a location within that venue click the Add Location button

    NOTE: Locations are the specific area where the volunteer will be working (Ex: Front Desk, Library, Kid Zone, etc.)

5. Associate your locations with the programs in your branch. First, select the location(s).

 

6. Then, select the programs that will be associated to those locations.

7. Finally, click the Copy Venues & Game Locations button.

CREATING SHIFT SCHEDULES

1. Choose the volunteer program to start creating your shift schedule

2. Select the purple Create Shift Schedule tile or click RiskMGT > Shift Scheduler

3. Create your shift types by clicking on the Settings tab

4. Click the Add Shift button

5. Give your Activity a name and select the Activity Category

    NOTE: Activity Name should be the description of the volunteer title or the volunteer task

6. Add a Time Block by clicking the Add Time Block button

7. Name your Time Block and enter your start and end time

8. You can create shift zones for your time blocks by selecting the Add Zone button

         

    NOTE:  This is optional. An example of this would be assigning a Kitchen worker shift type to stove, sink, mixer, etc.

9. To start scheduling your shifts, click on the Shift Scheduler tab

10. Click the yellow Add Block Button

11. Complete your settings for the shift in the Add Shift Block pop-up window. Then click Submit

12. When you are finished creating your schedule, click the Publish button
